Come down to one of our Paddle Boarding bases on the beautiful River Stour. Hire our boards from The Anchor Inn, Nayland. You can choose from 1hr, 2hrs, half day or a full day. Obviously the longer you hire the more of the river you will see. Paddle down the River Stour, taking in the beautiful countryside and wildlife you will never see from the road. We use the best equipment and supply buoyancy aids to keep you safe on the water. Before you head out one of our team will give you a safety and paddle briefing so you can maximize the fun on the water.

Pub Rules and Parking
No private launching
Only food and drink purchased from the pub, to be consumed – NO PICNICS
Please try to travel in the least number of cars as possible. Parking is limited and this is better for the environment.
The car park can be located at The Anchor Inn car park on Horkesley Rd.
Supervision & restrictions
We offer both Supervised and unsupervised sessions. Please check out the details on the experience page before booking.
Before every session we will provide a safety and paddle briefing.
Supervised sessions are currently only being run from The Henny Swan site (Mid Week Only)
Young Children are allowed on paddle boards with adult supervision. Buoyancy aids provided. A surcharge will be charge for extra people on a paddle board.
Please stay safe, this is a working environment
Who is it suitable for?
This sport is suitable for ages 7 and over.
If you have younger children, they can go on the front of the board with you. If you have a life jacket for anyone under the age of 7, please bring it. We have a limited supply of toddler life jackets
If hiring a canoe or Kayak, all under 18s must be accompanied on the same craft by an adult.
You don’t have to stand up, you can sit or kneel on these boards.
No dogs allowed on our paddle boards (Sorry!)
We also hire Sit Down Paddle Boards if standing is not for you.
Safety information
Buoyancy aids are recommended and must be worn at all times.
Leashes are supplied with every board. These must be worn at all times when on the water.
All participants must be able to swim; we do not recommend Paddle Boarding or kayaking for non-swimmers.
You cannot be under the influence of alcohol or drugs whilst on the crafts.

Additional info
We supply the paddleboard, kayak or canoe, the paddle, Buoyancy aid, Wet shoes. We also have dry bags and phone cases if required.
Bring a change of clothes – Just in case!
Dress for the weather. Shorts and Ts are fine in the summer. Wetsuits recommended in the lower season. No jeans or hoodies.
Bring sun lotion and water on hot days.
Please turn up 15 minutes before your booking for a safety and paddle briefing.
